Nichiren Daishonin repeatedly urged his disciples to be vigilant. As wise people who put faith into practice in daily life, let us do our best each day to stay safe and avoid accidents.
The year-end period in Japan tends to see a higher incidence of fires, traffic accidents and scams. Being complacent and arrogantly thinking, “I’ll be fine. Nothing will happen to me,” causes us to let down our guard.
Chanting strongly morning and evening, let’s take concrete action—such as conducting diligent safety checks and reminding one another to be careful—to defeat devilish functions and protect everyone around us.
