The Buddha surely considers anyone in this world who embraces the Lotus Sutra, whether lay man or woman, monk or nun, to be the lord of all living beings.
“The Unity of Husband and Wife,” The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, vol. 1, p. 463
Those who practice the Mystic Law are infinitely respectworthy, transcending all distinctions. They are spreading happiness to all living beings.
In particular, the inspiring actions of our young women’s division[1] members are imparting boundless hope to everyone they encounter and to society as a whole. The problems and challenges you face now will become a source of good fortune and benefit that will illuminate your future. Your youth as young women of Soka is the most noble, joyful and fulfilling in all the world!
I hope you will cheerfully encourage one another as you each strive together to build an inner palace of happiness in your heart.
Translated from the July 16, 2021 Seikyo Shimbun, the Soka Gakkai’s daily newspaper.
