These great bodhisattvas [who emerged from the earth] are particularly suited to bring benefit to people in the Latter Day of the Law, like fish who are at home in the water or birds that move freely through the sky.

Nichiren Daishonin proved the validity of the Lotus Sutra through his selfless struggle to spread the Mystic Law while enduring persecution. As practitioners directly connected to him, we, the members of the Soka Gakkai, have overcome all kinds of hardship to actualize his vision of “establishing the correct teaching for the peace of the land” and worldwide kosen-rufu depicted in his writings. This is a source of great pride.
The compassionate spirit of Nichiren Buddhism shines ever brighter in times of adversity. The Soka Gakkai, the organization carrying out the Buddha’s intent, appeared in the world in an age of crisis for humankind.
Let’s strive to dispel the darkness of uncertainty and division and create a global society where all people can live in peace and harmony.
