Located in northwestern Arizona, the Grand Canyon National Park is a massive gorge created by the meandering Colorado River. At 278 miles long and 4 to 18 miles wide, this awe-inspiring canyon is one of the largest in the world. The canyon transforms throughout the day as the sun colors the pallets of canyon walls. It also takes on new life with the changing seasons, winter snows painting beautiful scenes. It is no surprise that the Grand Canyon is also known as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.
