This October 7–8, the SGI-USA will hold online Introductory Exams, administered at SGI-USA centers across the country. Buddhism is a teaching for helping all people, especially those suffering the most. “Therefore,” Ikeda Sensei says, “[Buddhist] study needs to be rooted in daily life and serve as a guide for action. Study becomes a revitalizing force when it provides assurance and self-confidence in the power to overcome life’s difficulties and tribulations” (The New Human Revolution,
vol. 24, pp. 137–38).
Members and guests who have not yet taken or passed the SGI-USA Introductory Exam will have an opportunity to further deepen their understanding of Nichiren Buddhism by preparing for this exam.
The study guide for the exam can be downloaded for free here or at linktr.ee/livingbuddhism. Answers to the following review questions published here can also be found in the downloadable study guide.
We hope you enjoy studying for this exam together with your fellow district members!
