Words Of Encouragement From Ikeda Sensei

If the embankments around a moat do not leak, then the water will never escape from the moat. And if the mind of faith is perfect [firm and solid], then the water of wisdom, the great impartial wisdom, will never dry up.

“Letter to Akimoto,” The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, vol. 1, p. 1015

The wisdom of the Buddha is boundless and immeasurable. When we fuse our lives with the Gohonzon [through chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo], we can limitlessly tap the “water of wisdom” from the wellspring within us.

Whatever our problems or challenges, the key is to face them squarely and chant specifically about each one. Faith dedicated to fulfilling our vow for kosen-rufu will never be deadlocked; a way forward will always open.

Let’s send daimoku to everyone in our lives, sincerely and impartially enveloping them in the blessings of the great beneficial power of the Mystic Law.
