A woman known as the dragon king’s daughter achieved Buddhahood through faith in the Lotus Sutra; she therefore pledged to protect women who embrace this sutra in the latter age. Could it be that you are related to her? How admirable!

The dragon king’s daughter thinks of living beings with compassion as though they were her own children; she fills their hearts with great joy, creating a realm of happiness all around her (see The Lotus Sutra and Its Opening and Closing Sutras, pp. 225-28).
You, the women of Soka, engaged in compassionately spreading the Mystic Law, are her true successors. The Buddhas and heavenly deities throughout the ten directions will not fail to protect you.
With the younger generation in the lead, I hope you will illuminate society with the infinitely precious jewel of your innate Buddhahood. I wholeheartedly applaud and commend the magnificent network of hope you have built, which will pave the way for women and indeed all people to attain enlightenment into the eternal future!
