World Peace Day
In 1960, Ikeda Sensei departed for his first overseas trip to spread Nichiren Buddhism globally on behalf of his mentor, second Soka Gakkai President Josei Toda. Ikeda Sensei’s First Visit to Europe

Start of the Yamaguchi Campaign
In 1956, Sensei traveled to Yamaguchi Prefecture and, under Mr. Toda’s instruction, initiated a propagation campaign. After spending a total of 22 days there over three months, by January 1957, Sensei had led a tenfold increase in the Yamaguchi membership. (See The Human Revolution, “Turning Point” chapter)
